Abdul Majeed bin Abdul Aziz

 

Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud (1361 AH / 1942-18 Rabi 1428 / May 5, 2007), the former Emir of Makkah region. Thirty is the third son of the sons of King Abdul Aziz males.

Remained Emir of Tabuk until 15 May 1406 corresponding to January 26, 1986 when he issued a royal decree appointing him governor of Medina, and during his tenure Amartha period was the start of King Fahd project for the expansion of the Prophet’s Mosque and the development of the central surrounding area and oversaw the implementation process directly. He also encouraged the establishment of large institutions for real estate investment and agriculture, the largest institution and the head of it which is a good company to invest, and the city became a center of attraction for investors.

He continued to take over the Emirate of Madinah to 16 Shaaban 1420 H, corresponding to November 25, 1999 where he was appointed governor of Makkah region, and during his tenure the emirate adopted a project committee to develop the emergency services in the Mecca area for outstanding service in the field performance, and also embraced the idea of ​​the establishment of the first project to care for the elderly and the elderly in Jeddah.
He was pronounced dead on Saturday, 18 Rabi 1428 corresponding to May 5, 2007. And peace be upon on Monday 20 Rabi 1428 corresponding to May 7, 2007 in the mosque of Imam Turki bin Abdullah then buried in Oud cemetery.
